Who is behind the brand?
My name is Claude Pilon, and I am the originating founder of Henri et Victoria. With a background in biochemistry, I have a deep and practical understanding of both skin and soap chemistry, as well as lab safety and advanced manufacturing practices.
This business is the culmination of years of study, experimentation, and passion. Everything I've learned throughout my life has led to this moment, allowing me to channel my expertise into creating products with purpose and precision. Every single ingredient in Henri et Victoria’s products has a specific function and is beneficial to the user. I am exceptionally proud of how the product was created, and how it has evolved into a collection of high-performing shaving products that solve a genuine issue; with a touch of class and an air of grace like no other shaving product brand has.
Once product development was complete, it was time to grow and bring our vision to the market.
Jean-Mathieu Leblanc joined as Co-Owner of the business in 2016. With a Master’s in Administration, he is a born manager and instinctive problem solver. Providing essential structure, organization, and optimization to our processes, he prepared us for global expansion.
By maintaining full control over the entire manufactuing process, we ensure that every product meets our rigorous standards of quality. We know we have developed something special—and we have no intention of changing a winning formula.

Our story
As the old saying goes, every problem comes with a solution. Henri et Victoria rose to prominence because it solves a genuine issue that nearly every man has faced at some point. In fact, as the original founder of the company, I experienced this problem first-hand—and I knew I had to do something about it
The shaving products I had tried were either low quality but smelled great, or they were well-made but lacked any appealing scent—forcing me me to mix and match products just to find a decent compromise. At the time, artisan products were neither mainstream nor widely available, and few offered a distinctive or even pleasant fragrance.
So I set out on a mission to create a solution. I wanted it all—and I knew other men out there did too. My goal was to develop a high-quality product that not only performed exceptionally well but also had a distinctive, pleasant scent that wasn't overpowering or unpleasant.
I'll admit I'm proudly biased—but I am exceptionally proud of what we've created. Our Vegan Shaving Soap was crafted with care, using a premium formula. It was soon followed by our Tallow-Based Shaving Soap, developed with an even more advanced formulation.
What is traditional wet shaving?
Traditional shaving is an alternative to safety or electric shaving. This practice is based more on ritual and self-respect. This technique reduces the irritation of the skin, is more economical and ecological. By the same token, the use of products manufactured by Henri and Victoria are hypoallergenic and composed of healthy ingredients for the skin and beard.
